How Group Trips works

Who we list

Only operators who have applied and passed our checks: business registration and GSTIN, the tourism registrations their destinations require, public liability insurance, a tested emergency line, written cancellation and refund terms, and recent group departures. Each destination adds its own checks — for example, that Kedarnath operators don't sell helicopter tickets (those are sold only on IRCTC HeliYatra) and that high-altitude trips include acclimatisation. "Verified" means we checked those things on the date shown; it isn't a government endorsement or official accreditation. Operators are re-checked at least every 12 months and stop being listed automatically if their insurance, registration or our review lapses.

What we check on each tour

Every package, and every change to one, is reviewed before it's shown: the day-by-day plan must cover every day of the stated duration, and inclusions, exclusions, payment, cancellation and date-change terms must be the operator's own written terms.

What "available" means

A departure is shown as open only if it's in the future, isn't sold out or cancelled, and the operator confirmed its seats in the last 14 days. "Guaranteed" means the operator says it will run; "proposed" means it runs only if enough people book. Customisable tours have no fixed dates — you get a quote.

How tours are ordered

You choose: best match for your filters (with reasons on each card), departure date, total price or trip length. Tours you can request now come first. We don't call any operator the best — until there's enough verified traveller feedback, listings are neutral. Possible future criteria, applied the same way to everyone: destination experience, how complete and current departure information is, pricing transparency, itinerary quality, support, verified feedback, clear cancellation terms and full disclosure of extra costs.

How TravelTycoons makes money

Today we earn nothing from Group Trips. If we agree a fee with an operator — per qualified enquiry or a commission on confirmed bookings — their tours and profile will say so. Sponsored placements, if we ever sell them, are labelled "Sponsored", shown separately and never change the order of results. We don't take payments: you book and pay the operator directly.
